For filling
Boiled potatos - 3 (medium)
Chopped Onion - 1 (medium)
White/brown Bread slices - 3
Green chilli - 1 ( finely chopped) * optional
Ginger - 1" (grated)
Haldi - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2tsp
Coriander leaves chopped - 2 tbsp
Salt
For Batter
Besan - 5 tbsp
Ajwain - 1/4 tsp
Salt
Hing - a pinch
Water- as required
Oil- for frying
Method : -
- In a bowl mash boiled potatos .Add chopped onions,green chillies/red chilli powder,haldi,salt,ginger,coriander leaves.
- Make lemon size bonda balls and place in a plate.{I was able to make 15 bonda balls}.
- Prepare a semi-thick batter using besan,salt,hing,ajwain and water.
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Dip the bonda balls in the batter and deep fry until little brown on medium flame.
- Fry only 4 or 5 bondas at a time.
