Yummy Kerala snack...my mom makes delicious vadas..i miss them...
Chana dal - 1 cup (soaked for 2-3 hrs)
Onion(small) - 2
Green Chilli - 2
Ginger - 1 small pc
Curry leaves - a few
Hing - a pinch
Salt
Oil - for deep frying
Method:-
Chana dal - 1 cup (soaked for 2-3 hrs)

Method:-
- Drain soaked dal and grind it in a mixer grinder using very less water.Keep it little grainy.
- Chop onions.grind half of the chopped onions with ginger and green chilli in the mixer grinder.
- Mix dal mixture and onion mix,plus rest of the chopped onions.
- Add hing,salt and curry leaves to the batter,Batter should be little thick.
- Add little water if its too thick.
- Form into tikki and arrange on a tray.
- Heat oil in a kadai on medium flame.Fry vadas 4 or 5 at a time till golden brown.
